I went to bb&t bank near my house to verify my new account when I get to the told me that I was system for check fraud and won't tell where the check was sent from she told me that she was vice president of East end branch which is lie her job title is site manager so I ask her cant you tell me where the check was sent from she couldn't tell me I login into my bb&t account online there were was nothing wrong with my new account she was looking at the old account that I close so I open new account she couldn't find new account at all she telling people lie I would recommend that she lose her job because she not doing her job correctly she site manager

Find another bank

I asked for my NC title to be sent to Fla so I could get a Fla tag on my car. BBT sent the title to the wrong address in Fla and UPS lost the title. UPS notified BBT but BBT did nothing. Weeks go by. I call BBT why haven't you sent my title to Fla? They re order title now every day I get a different story where it is. Its been 3 months and I can't drive the car now with no Fla tags. Its a nightmare. Customer service is the worst.

I just had one of the stupidest experiences that I've had in a long time! I went to the my husbands bank (BB&T) to deposit some cash into his savings account and I was told by the teller that since I'm not on the account I'm not able to deposit cash into it. Because of new regulations regarding money laundering I can deposit checks or money orders but not cash. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of! So they don't want our cash I guess they don't want our business either!

Overdraft charge due to holding pending charge for 4 days

I was just charged an overdraft charge of over $36 because BB&T held a pending charge from my debit card for 4 business days causing me to overdraft on a later charge. The pending charge that they held had instantly been declined when I tried to use it online to pay something.

However, BB&T continue to hold that money as pending all those days and cause me to overdraft on something else! They will not waive the overdraft fee because they only forgive the fee once every 2 years and I am 2 1/2 months from the last time they waived a charge. Once every two years is ridiculous especially since they caused this to happened. I had called them after 2 days to ask when this pending charge would be released and they tried to say that it was going through.

Of course it didn't and they finally released it 4 business days later! I am so mad!

So if I'm getting this, you had, say $100.00 in the account with a $20.00 pending transaction. You didn't bother to balance your books and went out and spent, let's say, $90.00 and this is their fault how? Or the other way around, you had $90.00, deposited $20.00 and spent $100.00 before the deposit cleared? OK, this makes sense...

NOT.... It's on you to make sure you know your available balance at all times or you will be hit with NSF fees. Banks love these fees because it's easy money for people who don't have enough sense to balance their accounts before spending money. This is banking 101 from when Moses wore shorts.

Sorry but banking is a constant adulting activity. "Pending" DOES NOT MEAN "Available" "You must work for them."

They make impossible for a small business to ever make anything of them self. just in the past mo they have taken over 575.00 in over draft fees and the thing of is they just keep pushing all the same items to the top and re taken fees . something needs to be done

Every year BB,&T raises my house payment by $200 and says that my property taxes and insurance has gone up and it hasn't.lm taking BB&T to court.5 yrs ago my house payment was $250 and now it's going up to almost $600 per month.

Not Professional, not competent and overall bad bank

I was to have my part time job direct deposited Last Friday(1-18-19), I got paid. After finding out from my employer my check should be in my account.

Call Bb&t asked to speak with a Banker, she told me my account was closed and that the check would be reversed to my employer, not true. Call back later in the afternoon spoke with a guy who took down my name and never and said he would have a Banker call me back, never happen, by then it was end of day. Called Saturday spoke with Branch Manager explain my situation and that this could have been fixed if his Banker would have taken a moment to actually help. I received a statement 1/04/19 saying I owe $15 and change I had $24.95 in my account he told me the same as on the statement I received.

Monday way a holiday I waited till Tues. nothing Wed. a Banker told me they had taken out $54 and was mailing a check for the remainder. WHAT!!

Now today is 1/29/19 a we later almost time to get paid from my employer again and the Banker I spoke with earlier explain the my check was just being mailed from Orlando.

Very poor banking, not informative and the lack of communication has made this whole experience worse than it should have been. Never will bank with BB&t and will be a advocate to let others know beware.

BB&T screwed up by placing a total of $3500 in holds on a $2000 deposit which sent my checking account into overdraft. Then they charged me $108 in overdraft fees.

I had to cancel my plans for a 3-day weekend with my girlfriend since I didn't have the funds in my account to cover the hotel room or gas or food. Now I'm being charged $175 by the hotel for canceling a room I never got to stay in. I visited the local BB&T branch on my lunch break today to try to get the overdraft charges reversed.

They said that they're working on it. Not only will I never bank with BB&T again, I will do everything in my power to drive customers away from BB&T.

I had a 3-day weekend trip planned with my girlfriend, in which I planned to propose. The Friday before the trip, I deposited a $2000 check that my terminally ill father gave me. The teller explained to me that because of the amount there would be a 48-hour hold on the funds. I was ok with that. I woke up the following Saturday morning to overdraft charges on my BB&T checking account. When I logged into the banking site, I found that they had somehow doubled the hold placed on a single deposit. This threw my checking account into overdraft. I called BB&T customer service who said that they couldn't help me and I should visit the branch where the deposit was made. That branch is closed on Saturdays. I visited a different branch with no luck. Not only did I have to cancel our weekend plans, I don't even have money for food until everything is resolved. Not only am I planning to close my BB&T accounts but I will build an entire web site dedicated to telling my story. I will make it my life's mission to prevent as many customers as possible from banking with BB&T. Good bye BB&T!

Trying to contact BB and T To Inform them of a dangerous position

This is about your Bank at 6633 Roosevely Blvd Philadelphia Pa. 19149-****. Behind your bank is driveway leading to your banks parking lot and the acme supermarket parking lot which you both share. The drive way has at least five very deep potholes > They should be patched before an accident Happens.

Counterfeit

Maybe 3 yrs. ago I got a $100 bill from my brother and went straight to the bank to deposit. Drive thru person told me to come into the bank. They told me the $100 bill was counterfeit! They kept the bill. My brother had got the bill that morning from that bank. I have not to this day had any one contact me. What is the ruling for telling the person who the money was going to their account what was going on? It just disappeared! Please answer me....I have a feeling that the law is coming to my door. YOU MUST NOT REVIEW THESE COMPLAINTS. Please give me some closure.

Ruined credit

June 28, 2018 Name removed BB&T Letter In The Process Of Looking At Numbers The Entire Point Of My Complaint Seems To Have Been Lost. If You Would Look Closely At The Timeframe Of When I Sent In A Payment Of $900 On 10-21-16 To Cover A Payment Of $645.78 Due For 9-15-16 You Will Then Notice A Payment Sent In To Cover What Someone There Called And Informed Me That I Still Owed Before The Deferment Could Be Processed. There Is Almost A Month Of Lost Time There That I Did Not Cause And More Importantly Why Wasn't The Over payment I Sent In Used For That Instead Of Applying To The December Payment 2 Months Later. Also If You Look At The End Of December Statement It Does Not Show It Being Applied At All to the December bill. It just says paid. The Entire Reason I Requested The Deferment Was To Keep From Getting Behind On Payments And I Have Always Paid My Bill Using The Right Side Of The Statement As My Guide. So After Looking At The End Of December Statement On The Right Side It Showed An Amount Due For January And That Is What I Paid Money Toward On January 4th. Seeing As I Had To Quit Working And Shut Down My Company In October When I Brought My Wife Home After A 115 Day Period Of Being Hospitalized With A TBI, It Was The Last Thing On My Mind To Think I Had To Make Sure The Information Your Company Provided Me Was Accurate. So To My Surprise When I Again Went On Line To Look At My Statement In February I Found Out I Was Supposedly Already Behind On Payments And Nowhere Did It Show What The Total Of $1120 Dollars I paid on January 4th had gone. After Multiple Attempts To Get Someone There To Tell Me What Was Going On ItTook Filing a Complaint To The Better Business Bureau To Finally Get An Acknowledgement That There Was Inaccurate Information On The Right Side Of My Statements. I Did Not Provide A Customer With Inaccurate Payment Information Your Company Did And In Doing So Caused Exactly What I Was Trying To Prevent. I Could In No Way Come Up With An Extra $1500 To Catch Up When I Was Not Working And Had To Provide 24 Hour A Day Care For My Wife By Myself. In An Attempt To Stop The Continued Demolishing Of My Credit, At The Suggestion Of One Of Your Employees, I Attempted To Refinance The Loan Through Your Company At A Lower Rate So I Could Stop My Credit From Being Ruined. I Can Not Believe After Taking Weeks To Go Thru That Process I Was Told It Was Denied Because My Income Was Too Low. That is Why It Was Being Done In The First Place. So Now That That Unexpected Piece Of No Help Came Along, I Had No Choice But To Do A Second Deferment. I Was Told On 5 July That I Had To Pay A Remaining Amount Of Around $240 To Close Out My April Payment In Order To Process The Deferment And I Told That Individual I Was Sending $650 And We Both Agreed The Remaining $400 Plus Would Be Applied To The July 15th Payment And That Is Why You Would Then See A Payment Sent In For $260 Intended To Complete The July 15th Payment And Yes It Was Sent In On 9-1-17 Because Once Again What I Had Been Told Would Happen Didnt Happen And Once Again I Was On The Phone Trying To Find Out What Happened To The Missing $400 That Should Have Been Applied To The July Payment As Per The Conversation With Your Employee, but at that time was showing it applied to the June 15th payment which was one of the two months deferred. When I mentioned it to that employee he agreed it was applied to June by mistake and should have been July. So once again as time passes and I am assuming it would get corrected and the amount credited to July as discussed, I find out I am further behind because it was all applied to April 15ths bill. The Entire Point Is That Your Company Failed To Provide Me With Accurate Information At A Time When Having Inaccurate Information Severely Ruined My Credit And Caused Extreme Hardship And Financial Harm. Contacting Your Company In An Attempt To Keep My Credit From Getting Ruined Was The Worst Mistake I Made. All I Had Ever Asked For Was For Someone To Accept Responsibility For What Your Company Caused. Worst Yet Is That To This Day It Is Still Screwed Up. Your Company By Providing Me With The Wrong Information Caused Me Not To Be Able To Refinance My Home And Use The $100,000 In Equity In It To Keep All My Other Accounts Caught Up And Take Care Of My Family. Basically Your Company Destroyed A Credit Rating Of Close To 780 And Does Not Want To Accept Responsibility For What It Caused. You Had Employees Telling Me Amounts That Were Not Correct Because They Too Were Looking At The Wrong Numbers. We Are Talking Financial Harm That Is Almost Un Measureable. The Worst Part Is That Your Company Told The BBB In April Of 2016 That They Were Diligently Working On Fixing The Issue. If This Is Diligent I Would Hate To See Slow! That Screw Up On The Numbers On My Statement Caused This Entire Mess And Whether Or Not BB&T Is Willing To Own Up To What They Caused And Fix It, Does Not Matter To Me As I Now Sit In My Home 88 Days Late On Mortgage Payments with $100,000 in equity in it and can't borrow a dime. All Caused By The Fact That There Was 14 Late Payments Sent In On My Accounts By Your Company That Your Company Caused. Now If Your Company Doesn't Want To Do The Right Thing, I Will Do The Right Thing And I Will Post The Entire Statements I Have Received All Over The Internet And Do Everything In My Ability To Show The Public How BB&T, A Multi Billion Dollar Corporation, Cant Even Send Out A Statement That Has The Correct Information On It. My wife suffers from panic attacks and anxiety attacks. With all she had to deal with she should not have had to deal with the stress caused by all of this. Furthermore, it makes absolutely no sense to ruin the credit of a customer that had financed $80,000 worth of vehicles from your company and without a doubt would have financed more. Why is it so difficult for BB&T to accept responsibility for what BB&T caused. All that needed to be done was mark it all down as an administrative area, combine what I was late for with all the upcoming payments and it would have been done and over with. Pissed with BB&T!!!!!!

BB&T is a bad bank don't go to them. they will be *** *** and *** you over and they did that to me every time and overdraft me with $36 and $72 and same and same and same. would not recommend them at all. and customer service is bad aand them also closed my account for no reason and with out my consent and now reporting me for no reason and it was there fault because they over charge me for no reason. I wouldn't choose them go some else trust me and as well them system is *** up!!!! and you will have a delay on pay day all the time!!!!! they have owe me over $ 300!!! for all the overdraft fee because i have calculate $ 298.23 they owe me but no they want my hard earn money because they don't give *** bout you and your family.i would definitely go to another bank!!!!!

Their system keeps changing the Pin on my Debit cards to a default pin. Then they want to charge to give me access or they will lock down my account for 10 to 14 business days until I can get a new PIN through the mail. Causing me not be able to access either one of my accounts I've had accounts with them for over 20yrs since they bought out the bank I was originally with. It has gotten where about every 3-4 months they have a computer glitch or malfunction locking up funds while they continue to draw interests on with the feds. They have also gotten slower at updating transactions on their accounts. Their now only updating account information Tues through Thurs and if there is Holiday it may be a week or longer
